6/1/2010 – Maria Dowd is the President of Sol City Beauty Company, the exclusive San Diego County distributor of Design Essentials. She operates the business with her husband, Curtis V, a 35-year hair styling veteran. In the year of 1914, the Church of God in Christ was established in California. Overseer E. R. Driver was appointed the First Overseer by Bishop Charles Mason, the founder of the Church of God in Christ. He evangelized and traveled extensively encouraging churches to grow and to witness to sinners.
At the demise of Bishop J. A. Blake in November of 1984, the General Board of the National Church, lead by Presiding Bishop J. O. Patterson, deemed it appropriate, and in the will of God, to allow the formation of another Jurisdiction within Southern California. The General Board selected Superintendent George Dallas McKinney, Ph.D. to be the new Bishop, and thus the Southern California Second Jurisdiction was commissioned.
The Goal of the Lewis Temple Church of God In Christ Ministry is to reach the world, preach the Gospel and fulfill the divine calling of God. It is our intent that all humanity experience righteous and Holy Living by supporting prayer and the ministry of the Word through Bible study, teaching and social interaction. Single Parents Foundation, Inc., is the alternative to government assistance for single parent families. SPF is a small group of single mom's and dad's who are one parent family advocates.
